Overview

Spay’s banking API for your applications: opening business accounts, balances and history, name enquiry, transfers, transaction status, signed webhooks and bill payments. Get an access token from https://auth-dev.spay.ng, then call https://api-dev.spay.ng with it as a Bearer token.

Every error body also carries traceId, the id to quote when reporting a problem, e.g. {"error":{"code":"51","message":"Insufficient funds","traceId":"4bf92f3577b34da6a3ce929d0e0e4736"}}. On the token endpoint it sits beside error and error_description. The error tables leave it out for brevity.

  • Timestamps are ISO 8601 with the Africa/Lagos offset (+01:00); fractional seconds may be present. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD.
